Teen Dating Violence Prevention
Did you know that one in three teens will experience dating violence?
The Safe Dates curriculum is an evidence-based, school-based program designed to stop or prevent the initiation of psychological, physical, and sexual abuse on dates or between young individuals involved in a dating relationship. Safe Dates is a highly engaging and interactive curriculum delivered in several sessions. It addresses attitudes and behaviors associated with dating violence. Safe Dates helps teens recognize the difference between caring, supportive relationships and controlling, manipulative, or abusive dating relationships.
It is currently being taught in middle and high Pueblo City Schools along with District 70 middle and high schools.
Please contact our Violence Prevention Advocate at 719-542-6904 if you need help with a dating violence situation, are interested in learning more about our Safe Dates curriculum or would like to schedule the program for a school or education program.
