YWCA Pueblo Welcomes Zelna Joseph, New Executive Director!
Zelna Joseph is a long-time resident of Colorado Springs and Washington, DC. She is a strong leader experienced in non-profit management, program development, strategic planning, fund development and coalition building. Zelna, a former Colorado Springs City Council woman, has also served on countless boards and commissions, including the Colorado State Board of Health and on former Governor Ritter’s Interagency and Community Council on Homelessness. She has devoted her life to helping underserved women, children and families, while working to build strong communities.
Zelna has received numerous awards for her leadership and business skills, including the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce Accolades Business Leader of the Year Award and the Colorado Springs Business Journal’s Woman of Influence Award. Zelna has worked to prevent teen prostitution in the nation’s capital, started an AIDS prevention outreach program in Russia, and labored to provide affordable health care to low-income residents of Colorado Springs.
She’s now ready to lead the YWCA Pueblo!
